My wrists hurt, I’m exhausted, and I have to pee.

All of these conditions, however, were brought about by good things.

My wrists hurt.  I worked today.  This is odd, since I technically have been fired since last Friday.  But eh, it was fun, so who am I to complain?  I taped it and did a bit of climbing today with Andrew, (read: one route), and it didn’t hurt.  And now I have a nifty bracelet made out of the innards of a rope Stine and I destroyed today.  That’s about all for my wrist, I suppose.  Work today was okay, except for the fact that I had to get there at 9:45, which meant waking up at 8:45, which wouldn’t’ve been so bad if it weren’t for part two of this entry, which I’ll get to in a minute.

Andrew and Brian and I went out to Arby’s for dinner; it was fun.  Again, those two are a blast.  On Thursday, I went out with the two of them…or rather, went in, went out again, went to Peak, and then went home.  But it was cool; all three of us laughed a lot (at such things as my driving over the grass) and we played on Andrew’s climbing wall.  I want one.  Hell, I should probably just hang my hangboard.  But whatever.

Earlier on Thursday, I went to the park with Andrew (Hickle, not the climbing one), and Noah. We fought over the see-saw, hung out on playground equipment, went on a pilgrimage to the ultimate playground, and integrated the word ‘outpost’ into our evening.  I laughed so damn hard…I love both of those boys, especially when they’re together.  They’re just so funny.

My word-choice isn’t so stellar today.  Bite me.

I’m exhausted.  Worked Passages yesterday; had to be up at 6:30.  I love it there, though, and while it’s wicked cool that I’m getting paid, I’d do it for free.  I love the kids, believe it or not, and I love playing outside.  Like I’ve said a few times before, the cool thing about Passages is that you can spend all day in the sun, playing with kids and such, and you come home and look at yourself and say ‘cool. I got a tan.’  And then you shower and realize no, it’s actually just dirt.  But at least I feel thinner after a day on the island, just from sweating all day and running around and being active and having fun.  Who’d’ve thought I’d have so much fun with kids?  Not I.

And then last night, I went over to Carter’s lake with Kim and Mo and we had dinner, and then ice cream, and then watched the MST3k version of ‘The Pod People’ and laughed ‘till we cried.  I avoided another four-hour chat with Brian because he wasn’t on when I was, and got slightly less than seven hours of sleep.  Ew.

I have to pee.  Fortunately, this has been since remedied.  The cool thing about the layout of my house is that if I’m at a computer, I’m no more than ten steps away from a pissoir.  This is fortunate in that I have a quarter-sized-bladder.  I’ve also been eating these popsicle things practically non-stop…they’re addictive and oh-so-good.

Quote of the day: “That’s the best left-turn-on-red I’ve ever seen.”  -Brian, at the Hugosnot-Midlo intersection.  It was pretty cool, too.

Anyway, it’s bedtime, Brian gets his update, and that’s about all.  I’m trying to see Signs with Graham tomorrow; we’ll see how that works out.  I’ve heard mixed things about it: Brian didn’t like it, Andrew did, Lauren was ambivalent.  Sweet.
